Photo by @DavidDoubilet A female pink #clownfish lays her eggs on a hard surface beneath the host anemone. The eggs are fertilized by the male next to her. The male will aggressively guard the eggs until they hatch in 7 days. Clownfish are sequential hermaphrodites, the largest fish is a female and egg layer. If she dies the next largest male will change gender and become the female.
