The total eclipse of the “supermoon” is now past its peak. As the earth’s shadow moves off, a bright edge of sunlight is returning to the moon, creating this beautiful effect. Photographed by @TimLaman just now, Sep 27, 2015 at 11:20 PM USA Eastern Time from Massachusetts, USA. Follow @TimLaman and tomorrow I will post a timelapse of the entire eclipse. There’s still time to see the end of this eclipse if you go outside. Next one like this apparently won’t be for 18 years! #Eclipse, #Moon, #SuperMoon, #Cosmic, @NatGeo, @NatGeoCreative by natgeo
