Photo by @TimLaman. Old friends gather around a campfire to share stories from 30 years of rain forest research at the Cabang Panti research site in Gunung Palung National Park, Borneo. This year marked the 30th anniversary of this unique research station in Indonesian Borneo which has been a center of rain forest ecology and primate research, including orangutans, for three decades. A huge thank you to @NatGeo Society for research grant support to so many of us carrying out field research here over the years. I count myself among the old-timers. First came here to this amazing forest 28 years ago and my life was forever changed.
