Protesters massed in Cairo's Tahrir Square late on Monday, continuing their open defiance of a government issued curfew for another night. In an apparent attempt to defuse the week-long political upheaval, President Hosni Mubarak named a new government on Monday - dropping the controversial interior minister in charge of security forces.
